Some people express themselves through words.
Marcell Dergecz paints.
Born in 2007 in Austria, Marcell lives in the Zillertal. He navigates the world with a severe speech development disorder on the autism spectrum where spoken language can be a barrier.
But on canvas, nothing is.
Marcell began painting in 2022 and almost immediately, something became clear: what is difficult to say can be powerfully shown.
His works are intense, bold, and unmistakably alive. Strong colors, dynamic brushstrokes, and instinctive composition create a visual language that feels direct and honest.
You don’t need an explanation.
You feel it.
It is communication.
It is freedom.
It is a way to be understood without speaking.
While words may fail, colors do not hesitate.
